RV River Kwai, the first inland cruise ship in Thailand, is a newly built colonial style river cruise. River Kwai carries a maximum of 20 passengers in 10 teakwood cabins (single deck) and operates every Monday-Thursday for upstream and every Thursday-Sunday for downstream. RV River Kawi opens up an entirely new era for river tourism in Kanchanaburi. Every morning and afternoon land excursions are offered to visit attractions along the river including temples, historic sites, Khmer ruins, waterfalls, war cemeteries, hot springs, the bridge on the River Kwai and local attractions.

Programme Upstream (Depart Bangkok at 07.00 hrs)

Day 1 (Monday) Bangkok - Kanchanaburi - Ban Kao

Pick up from hotel and depart by coach to Kanchanaburi with stops at Phra Pathom Chedi, then proceed to Khao Noi Cave Temple and Tiger Cave temple nearby. Continue to visit JEATH War Museum. Embarkation RV River Kwai at noon with lunch on board. Afternoon, visit Wat Tham Khaopoon. Then return to cruise and continue cruising upriver to Wang Pla Moo Bridge. Dinner and overnight on Board.

Day 2 (Tuesday) Ban Kao - Sai Yok

Breakfast on board. Then cruise upriver on the Kwai Noi River to visit Prasat Muang Singh, historical park with Khmer architecture from the late Lopburi period. Continue by road to Tha Kilen Train Station for boarding the 3rd class train, passing over the long wooden viaduct. Stop at Krasae cave. Continue by coach with stop at Sai Yok Elephant Village. Lunch on board with leisure time. Dinner and overnight onboard.

Day 3 (Wednesday) Sai Yok-Sai Yok Sai-Ban Hin Dad

After breakfast, walk uphill to visit Kaeng Lava cave. Return to the cruise for cruising upriver to Ban Haad Ngiu and continue by coach to Hell Fire Pass, a part of Death Railway cut through the stone mountain. Rejoin the boat at Kaeng Pa Lorm with lunch on board. Afternoon at leisure on the boat. Farewell Dinner and overnight on Board.

Day 4 (Thursday) Ban Hin Dad - Kanchanaburi - Bangkok

Early morning , offering foods to monks at nearby temple. Breakfast on board. Then disembark and return to Kanchanaburi by coach. Visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Centre museum, Donrak War Cemetery and the world-famous bridge over the River Kwai. Lunch at local restaurant and back to Bangkok, arrive Bangkok at 18:00 hrs.

Programme Downstream ( Depart Bangkok at 07.00hrs)

Day 1 (Thursday) Bangkok - Kanchanaburi

Pick up from hotel and depart by coach to Kanchanaburi with stops at Phra Pathom Chedi, then proceed to Khao Noi Cave Temple and Tiger Cave Temple nearby. Day 3 (Saturday) Sai Yok - Ban Kao

Breakfast on board. Short visit at Sai Yok Elephant village and return to RV River Kwai for lunch. Afternoon, board the coach to visit the Krasae Cave situated on the bank of the Kwai Noi River. Then, take 3rd class train, passing over the long wooden viaduct, and take coach to Prasat Muang Singh, historical park with Khmer architecture from the late Lopburi period. Return to the RV River Kwai in the afternoon with at leisure on the boat. Farewell Dinner and overnight on board.

Breakfast on board while cruising down to visit Wat Tham Khaopoon. Continue by coach to visit the world-famous bridge over the River Kwai, Thailand-Burma railway centre museum, and finally visit the Donrak War Ceremony. Rejoin RV River Kwai for lunch. After lunch, disembark RV River Kwai and return to Bangkok by coach - arrive Bangkok at 18.00 hrs.
