Day 1 - KOTA KINABALU

Arrival in Kota Kinabalu and you will be met and transferred to your beach accommodation for your overnight stay.

Day 2 - KOTA KINABALU

Breakast at the hotel, today is free at leisure to explore the hotel and the resort of Kota Kinabalu.

Day 3 - KOTA KINABALU - KINABALU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast at the hotel then you will begin a tour of a lifetime through Borneo - this tour brings you across mountainous Crocker Range with panoramic views of the countryside and soaring hills. Whilst en-route to Kinabalu Park, you can watch the magnificent sight of Mount Kinabalu, South East Asia's highest peak. The park is a world heritage site with incredible mega bio-diversity of flora and fauna, a heaven for nature enthusiasts. On arrival, visit the Exhibit centre and Mt. Garden to reveal some of mother nature's miracles. This botanical paradise is blessed with an astonishing variety of flora and fauna from the rich lowland dipterocarp forest through the montane oak, rhododendron, and coniferous forests, to the alpine meadow plants. Daily guided walks by the park are scheduled, ideal for the less adventurous who would rather refrain from exploring the various marked trails on their own.

Day 4 - KINABALU NATIONAL PARK

Breakfast is served in the park, today you will depart for the Poring Hot Springs which offers visitors the opportunity for an invigorating dip into its hot sulphur springs. For a closer look at nature, take the 41m high canopy walk which offers a spectacular view of the Borneo Rainforest flora and fauna.  Packed lunch will be served.

Day 5 - KOTA KINABALU - SANDAKAN

Breakfast is served in the park, you will then leave in the morning for the transfer to Kota Kinabalu Airport for your flight to Sandakan.  Upon arrival in Sandakan Airport you will be met and transferred to your hotel for check-in.  The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 6 - SANDAKAN - SUKAU

Breakfast is served at the hotel, you will check out from the hotel and depart for Sukau, the journey will take approximately 2 hours drive to the Sukau River.  Upon arrival you will check in at one of the river lodges and enjoy a leisure afternoon before embarking on an upriver boat-ride to appreciate the many species of Borneo rainforest flora and fauna.  This region is well known for hornbills, colorful tropical birds, crocodiles, monitor lizards, wild pigs, otters, oriental darters and more.  Catch the mischievous Proboscis monkeys frolics.  There huge-bellied, long nosed primates with long white tales live by the river and are especially active during dusk when they are socialising, crashing through trees or foraging for food.  Settle down for dinner and rest of the evening rest and relax.

Day 7 - SUKAU - SEPILOK

Breakfast is served at the lodge.  This tour is both an educational and leisure experience, providing an insight to Borneo's rich natural heritage. Observe wild, protected and endangered animals in their natural habitat and appreciate the efforts by various government and non-government organisations to implement a sustainable eco-management system. After breakfast depart for Gomantong cave and explore Borneo's famous edible bird-nest (soup) and continue journey to Sepilok Centre.  Check into Sepilok Nature Resort and in the afternoon visit the Sepilok Rehabilitation centre. Enjoy a full afternoon sightseeing in the world's largest Orang Utan Sanctuary. At this sanctuary, young, orphaned or captured Orang Utans are gradually rehabilitated into the wild and offer an opportunity to see Orang Utans up close in their natural habitat. A boardwalk leads to a viewing gallery and feeding platform where the Orang Utans are fed twice a day.

Day 8 - SEPILOK - SANDAKAN - TURTLE ISLAND

Breakfast is served at the resort.   Check out from the resort and today you will transfer to Sandakan Jetty and board a boat for the one and half hours journey to Selingan Island.

Selingan Island, designated as a Marine Park, the island is a safe haven for the endangered green turtles and hawksbill turtles.  Spend a leisurely day simply enjoying the sun, sand and sea. Later, learn more about the turtles as huge females come ashore to lay their eggs.  Then help the rangers release hatchlings from their nursery.  Settle down for dinner and a wonderful overnight stay at the island.

Day 9 - TURTLE ISLAND - SANDAKAN

After breakfast, this morning you will leave Selingan Island and take the boat back to Sandakan, on arrival you will transfer to your hotel to check-in, the rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 10 - SANDAKAN - DEPARTURE

After breakfast, the day is free until your departure to the airport for your onward flight to the UK.
