Day 1 - Arrive Hanoi 

Welcome as you join us on a scenic journey along the spirit of Vietnam Tour. Your journey begins in Hanoi on arrival you will be met by a representative and transferred to your accommodation.  The rest of the morning is free at leisure, in the evening watch a performance of the renowned water puppet theatre, an art whose origins date back over a thousand years.

Day 2 - Hanoi

After breakfast at your hotel, you will start your tour to explore Hanoi's illustrious history.  In the morning, visit the Ho Chi Minh Complex containing his mausoleum, former residence and the One Pillar Pagoda, you will also visit the Temple of Literature.  In the afternoon, you will visit the Vietnam Museum of Fine Arts, Hoan Kiem Lake and Ngoc Son Temple.  A one-hour tour of Hanoi's Old Quarter by cyclo is a relaxing way to end the day.  The tour includes a visit to an ancient Vietnamese  "long house".

Day 3 - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An

After breakfast you will take the morning flight to the central coastal city of Danang.  On arrival, travel to the ancient port town of Hoi An.  Embark on a walking tour of this charming old town visiting ancient merchants houses, a Hokkien temple, a 400 year old Japanese Covered bridge and the colourful riverside market.  Afternoon trip to one of Hoi An's famous lantern workshops.  Learn how the lanterns are made and have the opportunity to create your own.

Day 4 - Hoi An - Hue

Breakfast at hotel, then depart for the ancient capital of Hue.  The three-hour drive hugs the ocean coastline, winds through emerald green paddy fields and climbs up and over the stunning Hai Van Mountain pass.  On arrival in Hue, visit the Imperial Citadel and elaborate tomb of Emporer Tu Duc.

Day 5 - Hue - Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at hotel, then you will embark on a morning boat cruise on the romantic Perfume River. Visit the elegant Thien Mu Pagoda along the riverbank.  Afternoon transfer to the airport for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City.  On arrival you will be met and transferred to the hotel.  The rest of the day is free at leisure.

Day 6 - Ho Chi Minh City

Breakfast at hotel. This morning you will drive to the remarkable Cu Chi Tunnels outside Ho Chi Minh City.  During the war "Viet Cong" guerillas built this labyrinth of narrow tunnels, using them to hide in during bombing raids and as a base to launch surprise attacks.  Return to Ho Chi Minh City in the afternoon for a half-day city tour including the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, Central Post Office, Chinatown, Binh Tay Market and Thien Hau Temple.

Day 7 - Ho Chi Minh City 

After breakfast, this morning is free at leisure before your transfer back to the airport for your onward flight to the UK
