Plan Your Wedding
We appreciate that there is a lot to organise for any wedding and having the ceremony abroad offers some further complexities that can we a source of worry. Our wedding planner service is designed to ensure you have all the right documents in place before you travel and make sure all runs to plan once you arrive at resort. This service will include:
- Documentation checklist
- Liasing with resort
- Rep meeting at resort to discuss final arrangements
- Ideas for special excursions for the wedding day
Before the booking - Choosing your destination
When making your decision it is worth bearing in mind such things as the days of departure for flying, different weather patterns throughout the year and the special wedding and honeymoon packages offered by the hotels. Check through the legal requirements for any restrictions that may apply.
Booking your wedding
Call our sales team on 0800 988 1721 to check the availability of your chosen departure dates. We recommend booking your wedding as far in advance as possible so you will not be left disappointed if particular dates are no longer available.
One week after booking your wedding?
We will send you a wedding information pack with more details about your wedding and any documentation you need. Please take the time to read through all the information provided, especially any legal requirements and documents you may need to provide. A simple form will be provided that you need to complete and return to us. We will request your preferred wedding date from the overseas authorities after we have received your completed form. If you choice of preferred dates is unavailable, for whatever reason, an alternative will always be offered. Your wedding date will usually be confirmed within 7 days.
If you would like to add any additional family and friends onto the booking please tell us as soon as possible to avoid any disappointment if availability becomes an issue.
Countdown to your wedding
As soon as possible ensure that you have all of the relevant documentation you will require to provide according to your destinations requirements. If you need to request copies from the authorities these can take up to 3 months to be processed and posted so please allow plenty of time. If you are changing your passport into your married name ensure you leave plenty of time for your passport to be processed and sent back to you.
3 months prior to departure
Check that all documentation has been received by the wedding team so they can process your wedding licence. Visit your GP to determine if you need any vaccinations before you travel.
1 month prior to departure
Check that you have all your original documentation that you need to take to the resort with you. Ensure you have suitable luggage carriers for your wedding attire and that you understand the airlines rules concerning baggage allowances.
After your wedding
Check your marriage certificates and ensure all the details are correct. If certified copies are required please contact our sales team.
