Sri Lanka Wedding Formalities
For guests marrying in Sri Lanka, the wedding couple are required to arrive in Sri Lanka 5 days before the expected ceremony date, this is required to assist in all pre-wedding arrangements.
For weddings in Sri Lanka the required documentation is as follows:
- Birth Certificates both originals & copies
- Valid passports
- Certified documents containing details of your names and addresses and occupations, details of your parents, occupations and addresses and an affidavit confirming marital status
- If divorced, a Decree Absolute
- If widowed, death certificate of former spouse
- If names have been changed, legal proof
