Although not the largest or oldest of the national parks in Thailand, Khao Sok is certainly a favourite for many visitors. Officially declared the 22nd national park in Thailand on December 22, 1980, Khao Sok is a 739-square-kilometre nature refuge in Southern Thailand. With a little luck you may even catch a rare Rafflesia -- the heaviest flower on earth.
Elephant Hills is Thailand’s first luxury tented jungle camp combining the camp idea of African national parks with the Thai tropical forest environment. The real attraction of a visit to Elephant Hills is of course the wildlife and flora which may be explored in the company of knowledgeable, enthusiastic guides. The sounds of the jungle are at their height at night when a cacophony of unique noises fill the air whilst by day as the morning mist subsides the tones are muted as creatures sleep.
Totally charming, stunning environment where you will engage with this ancient landscape as well as its rare inhabitants; this is an experience that offers a real taste of Thailand's rainforest without the over-commercialisation.
