You’ll find Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest practically at your doorstep, where the scenic forest trails and characterful animal residents are sure to win you over, while an immersive cultural experience awaits further out at Pura Tirta Empul, one of Bali’s best-loved temples famous for its holy spring water. Stick around the area to see the breathtaking Tegalalang rice terraces (we recommend early morning visits for unparalleled snaps), and come evening the Campuhan Ridge Walk is perfect for magical sunsets within easy reach of your hotel. An easy 10-minute stroll will get you to one of Ubud’s main thoroughfares and the awe-inspiring Ubud Palace, but if it’s an escape into nature you’re after, lace up your boots, pack a swimsuit, and take your pick from the many enchanting waterfalls in the area.
All-out relaxation awaits following an hour’s drive to Candi Dasa, a haven on Bali’s mesmerising eastern coast.
Enjoy endless beach days on the soft sands of Mendira beach, and make the most of the crystal-clear waters with a spot of snorkelling, scuba diving, or slicing across the waves with thrilling water sports. While away your hours at your magnificent beachfront resort, or hit the road to explore local must-sees like the Lotus Lagoon, Goa Lawah Temple and Tirta Gangga Water Gardens.
