Iconic Cities and Beyond

Boston, New York, Philadelphia & Washington DC

Iconic East-Coast cities of the USA

Take the train to discover the culture and history of four iconic East Coast cities, all with their own rich and diverse tapestry. Explore the neighbourhoods and hidden secrets of these cities as only locals do.

Boston is your first stop on its iconic East-Coast city adventure. Although many visitors know about Boston’s rich history and its role in the Revolutionary War, they may not be aware of the city’s world-class museums, numerous universities, and abundant shopping opportunities. In the heart of Boston, the Waterfront and Harbour-Walk link many neighbourhoods and offer breath-taking waterfront views as well as great dining options on and off the water. We really recommend for you to hop aboard the Old Town Trolley Tour where you will experience ‘Transportainment’, a delightful combination of transportation and entertainment. While on the tour, you can choose to interchange riding on the Trolley and walking on portions of the Freedom Trail for a more complete experience.

New York City, deservingly called ‘the city that never sleeps’, offers something for everyone at all times of the day or night. There is so much to see and do in this worldly metropolis and the best way is through Grayline’s Hop-On Hop-Off City Tour. This is one of the most popular, fun, and informative ways to tour New York City. Among the most visited attractions are Time Square, Central Park which houses the City Zoo, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the famous Brooklyn Bridge. Walking across the famous Brooklyn bridge is a huge thrill, particularly if you start from the Brooklyn side and view the Manhattan skyline as your stroll across. Of course, no tour of New York would be complete without a visit to America’s highest representation of freedom, the Statue of Liberty in New York Harbour, and the Empire State Building.

Philadelphia boasts a wealth of tourist hot spots. Start exploring the city of icons, such as the famous LOVE statue, the “Rocky Steps” at the Museum of Art and eat a Philly cheesesteak sandwiches. Philadelphia is the most influential city in the process of the American Revolution. Visit Independence Hall National Historical Park, home to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall, where the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence were signed. Visit the Ben Franklin Museum to learn about one of the Founding Fathers of the USA and enjoy the outdoors at beautiful Longwood Gardens or Fairmount Park. Shops, art galleries, restaurants and pubs line the historic cobblestone streets of Philadelphia’s Old City district. The Reading Terminal Market, the USA’s oldest farmers market, is also the city’s most popular attraction.

Washington, D.C, the countries capitol has so much to see and do for any visitor, but a trip to the National Mall is a must for any itinerary. Washington, D.C.’s unforgettable skyline is marked by some of the world’s most celebrated monuments. The awe-inspiring structures, statues and temples that grace the National Mall tell fascinating stories through their histories and designs. From the Washington Monument to the World War II Memorial to the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, D.C. traces the history of the USA. Washington, DC attracts nearly twenty million tourists each year making tourism the second biggest industry of the area just after the federal government. Surprisingly, admission to most major attractions is free.
