There are many activities on this marvellous island, from hiking and cycling for sports and nature enthusiasts, to enjoying thermal treatments and touring the many attractions such as the charming peninsula of Sant’Angelo.
Sorrento overlooks the Bay of Naples, offering cinematic views across the water to Mount Vesuvius. The old quarter of Sorrento is a warren of narrow streets lined with limoncello boutiques and delicious trattorias where you can stop for a light cannoli and espresso. Sorrento also has great links to some of the top sights in Italy such as Capri. The splendid Isle of Capri rises from the Tyrrhenian Sea and greets the Sorrentine Peninsula. Having become famous with the discovery of its Blue Grotto or Grotta Azzurra in 1826, Capri is a place of legend that continues to be a main destination for travellers, stars and intellectuals.
