Ubud is surrounded by terraced rice paddies and rainforests. It is known as the island's centre for traditional crafts and dance. Candidasa This seaside town is located on Bali's eastern coast, on the edge of a freshwater lagoon. It's a popular beach resort town, with scuba diving spots offshore and ferry services that can take you to other nearby Indonesian islands for day trips. Eastern Bali itself is home to a number of attractions, like Goa Lawah Temple (Bali's 'bat cave' temple), the breathtaking Lempuyang Temple set on a mountain peak, and Candidasa Lotus Lagoon, where pink and fuchsia flowers pepper the water's surface in a pretty display.

Sanur is situated in the southeast of Bali, hidden away from the partygoers of Kuta, this is a beautiful and quiet beach area blessed with soft sands, calm seas and one of the best places on the island to watch the sunrise. Water sports like kitesurfing are popular here, and it’s always possible to venture elsewhere on the island with ease if you want to explore.
