Itinerary

Day 1 Pisa - Montecarlo
Arrive in Pisa, collect your car from the airport and drive the 50 kilometres to your first hotel, Fattoria La Torre located in Montecarlo, a magical medieval town that sits above the Lucca plain. The centre has been able to maintain, over time, the medieval beauty and elegance of its origins: the graceful houses, the orderly streets, everything enchants the visitor, but above all its square, a broad belvedere overlooking the wildest, most mountainous Tuscany.
Overnight in Montecarlo.

Day 2 Lucca - Pisa
Drive to Lucca, the city of the hundred churches and the beautiful medieval city walls. The historic centre can be reached through one of the seven gates of the city walls. During your walking tour you will see, the marketplace ‘Amphitheatre’, that round its origin from the Roman period. Well worth seeing is also the San Michele Square with the Church of San Michele in Foro and Palazzo Pretorio.
In the afternoon drive to Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa has made it famous throughout the world. During your visit, you will admire the Square of Miracles, the unique composition of the Cathedral, the Leaning Tower, the Baptistery and Campo Santo. The Cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta is a masterpiece of Italian Architecture. Inside the Baptistery you can visit the hexagonal pulpit by Nicola Pisano. Something very special in its own way is the Cemetery in the form of a monumental cloister.
Overnight in Montecarlo.

Day 3-4 Florence
It’s time to delve further into the largest art capital of the world with your next stop: Renowned as the world’s cultural capital, Florence is bursting at the seams with Renaissance architecture, historical artworks and famous sights, but there’s more to this place than the Statue of David, the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio. Look a little closer and you’ll find that the streets are alive with youthful energy; take a while to browse the high-end shops and soak up the Italian atmosphere. After a busy day of exploring the impressive Uffizi or snapping the majestic Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore, head to a typical restaurant for a traditional Italian meal.
Overnight in the Florence Area.

Day 5 Montepulciano - Pienza
Today drive to Pienza, a splendid jewel of the early Renaissance. Its name comes from Pope Pius II, who wanted to transform his birthplace Corsignano into an art jewel, after his election to the papacy. Numerous monuments are worthy of admiration, such as the Palazzo Piccolomini and the Cathedral.
On the way stop to Montepulciano, a medieval and Renaissance hill town, known for its wine ‘Vino Nobile of Montepulciano’.
Overnight in Pienza

Day 6-7 Pienza - Montacino
Later today you will head towards Siena for your last hotel stay. On the way visit Montalcino. This medieval village has a fairy-tale atmosphere. Nestled among the hills, olive groves and oak forests of the Val d’Orcia, it is the heart of the production of Brunello, the world-famous wine.
Fifty or so kilometres away from Montalcino lies your final destination: scenic Siena, one of the most renowned Italian medieval cities. Surrounded by Tuscany’s grand green hills, this historic city is crammed with sites: from the famous shell-shaped Piazza del Campo to the Opera del Duomo and National Art Gallery, there’s more than enough to explore. Drive off and explore the smaller towns in the area, such as San Gimignano and Monteriggioni: not only will you drive through breathtaking landscapes, but you’ll get to feast on some of the most mouthwatering gourmet delights as you discover hidden gems in each town.
