Day 3: Los Angeles – Las Vegas
Embark on a morning journey to Joshua Tree National Park, where you'll encounter some of California's most captivating geologic wonders in the desert landscape. The park boasts rugged mountains with twisted rock formations and striking granite monoliths, a testament to the powerful geological forces that shaped this remarkable land. Among the park's iconic features is the slow-growing Joshua tree, which graces the desert ecosystem and is widely recognized as its most famous resident. Mormon settlers, crossing the Mojave Desert in the 1800s, bestowed the tree's name upon it due to its peculiar shape, reminiscent of the biblical story in which Joshua raises his hands in prayer towards the sky. You'll have the opportunity to experience the beauty of the Hidden Valley trail, a scenic 1-mile loop, perfect for a leisurely walk. Before arriving at the park, we'll plan a stop for you to purchase picnic items to enjoy a delightful lunch amidst the park's natural splendor (please note that the picnic lunch is not included in the package).

In the afternoon, we'll set out on a drive to the magnificent man-made oasis in the desert, Las Vegas. Upon arrival, you'll check into your hotel and have the chance to explore and indulge in the incredible offerings of this vibrant city.

Day 4: Las Vegas - Grand Canyon
Embark on a journey towards the South Rim of the Grand Canyon, a breathtaking geographical phenomenon. Along the way, make a stop in the charming town of Seligman, situated on the iconic Route 66. For lunch, you have the freedom to choose your own dining experience. Afterward, get ready to witness one of the world's most awe-inspiring wonders: the Grand Canyon. Sitting at an impressive elevation of 6,971 feet above sea level, the Grand Canyon is a stunning result of millions of years of wind and water erosion. Enveloped by a magnificent forest, the canyon appears protected by a lush green screen of nature. This visit promises to be one of the most memorable highlights of your trip. To truly immerse yourself in the beauty of the Grand Canyon, we recommend a 1.7-mile hike to Ooh Aah Point, a trail that offers incredible vistas and takes about 1 to 2 hours to complete. After an eventful day, you'll spend the night in the Grand Canyon village, surrounded by the majestic wonders of this natural masterpiece.

Day 5: Grand Canyon - Monument Valley – Page
Set off from the Grand Canyon, embarking on a scenic drive along the mesmerizing Desert View Drive. Take a pause at the Desert View Watchtower, an architectural gem inspired by ancient Puebloan watchtowers. The tower, adorned with remarkable murals by Hopi artist Frank Kabotie, beckons you to climb its stairs for an unparalleled view of the Canyon and its breathtaking surroundings, if time allows. Continuing on your journey, you'll find yourself amidst the grandeur of Monument Valley. This vast desert plain spans 25 miles in length and 16 miles in width, showcasing imposing crimson monoliths that create a truly awe-inspiring sight. It's no wonder this iconic location has served as the backdrop for numerous classic western films, including five of John Ford's masterpieces.

An included lunch awaits you, featuring delectable Navajo specialties that will satisfy your taste buds. Following this delightful meal, you'll embark on a jeep tour of Monument Valley, guided by a knowledgeable local Navajo guide who will enrich your experience with their insights and stories.

As the day unfolds, you'll arrive in the charming town of Page. After checking in at your hotel, if weather permits, take some time to unwind and enjoy a refreshing dip in the enchanting waters of Lake Powell. Your day concludes with a comfortable overnight stay in Page, ready to embark on more adventures in this beautiful region.

Day 6: Page – Horseshoe Bend - Bryce
Begin your day with a visit to the remarkable Horseshoe Bend, a geologic masterpiece shaped by the mighty Colorado River. This natural wonder, sculpted through the path of least resistance, showcases the river's incredible power and artistry. As gravity played its part, the Colorado River relentlessly cut through rock layers, giving birth to the spectacular 270° bend in the river. The beauty of Horseshoe Bend is a testament to the marvels of nature. Next, you'll venture to Bryce Canyon, a true gem within the National Parks system, discovered by Mormons towards the end of the 19th century. This breathtaking destination captivates visitors with its ever-changing shapes, colors, and shades of stone, especially the renowned Pink Cliffs. From sunrise to sunset, the canyon transforms, offering a mesmerizing display of beauty. For those seeking a closer encounter with the unique hoodoos, thin spires of rock that grace Bryce Canyon, a hike down the canyon is a great option*. During lunchtime, you'll have the chance to enjoy a picnic in the park. However, please note that the picnic items are not included, but we'll plan a stop for you to purchase the perfect picnic essentials before entering the park. The remainder of the day is yours to explore Bryce Canyon at your own pace. This leisure time allows you to immerse yourself fully in the enchanting landscape and experience the magic of the region. At the end of the day, you'll retire to your accommodation in the area, filled with unforgettable memories of nature's incredible artistry.

Las Vegas offers a plethora of options, from testing your luck in gambling to indulging in some shopping or experiencing the world-class entertainment the city is renowned for. As an optional activity, you can join your guide on a fascinating night tour of Las Vegas, witnessing the city come alive with its dazzling lights and vibrant energy. After a day filled with adventure and excitement, you'll spend the night in Las Vegas, cherishing the memories of your spectacular journey through Zion National Park.

Day 8: Las Vegas - Death Valley – Mammoth Lakes
Prepare for a captivating journey as you set out to traverse the Nevada Desert, crossing into California and descending into the renowned Death Valley. Situated at a staggering 282 feet below sea level, Death Valley stands as one of the hottest places on the planet. Its desolate landscape led the first cowboys who crossed it to describe it as a barren expanse, devoid of streams to drink from and trees to seek refuge under. In Death Valley, you'll encounter fascinating landmarks like Furnace Creek, known for its extreme temperatures, and the striking sand dunes of Stovepipe Wells. During the day, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy lunch at your own leisure, savoring the experience amidst this unique environment. As the day progresses, your journey will lead you high into the magnificent Sierra Nevada range, where you'll make your way to the charming resort town of Mammoth Lakes. Surrounded by breathtaking mountain vistas, Mammoth Lakes promises a serene and delightful retreat. You'll spend the night here, allowing you to relax and reflect on the incredible experiences you've had so far.

*Please note that in the event of the Tioga Pass being closed, the group will be redirected to Bakersfield, ensuring an alternative and equally enjoyable itinerary.

In case of extreme heat (41 Celsius / 105 Fahrenheit and above), the visit of Death Valley will not be possible and will be replaced by the visit of Calico Ghost Town or Tonopah Historic Mining Park.

Day 9: Mammoth Lakes – Yosemite – San Francisco
Today, we embark on a picturesque journey as we drive through the breathtaking Tioga Pass, marking our entrance into the magnificent Yosemite National Park.
