Java to Bali

This 13 night overland tour from Java to Bali begins with arrival in Jakarta before traveling to Bandung via Bogor’s Botanical Gardens and the scenic Puncak Pass. Highlights in Bandung include Tangkuban Perahu volcano and Ciater hot springs, followed by a journey through terraced rice fields to Purwokerto, with a cultural stop at Naga Village. From there, the trip continues to the Dieng Plateau with its ancient Hindu shrines and colorful lake, then to Yogyakarta to explore UNESCO-listed Borobudur, Prambanan, the Sultan’s Palace, and traditional workshops. The route leads onward to Malang for city sightseeing, then to Mount Bromo for a sunrise jeep tour across its volcanic landscape. Traveling through the countryside to Kalibaru, guests experience plantations and village life before crossing by ferry to Bali for a 4 night stay in Sanur, as well as a cultural excursion to Mengwi Temple, Monkey Forest, and the iconic Tanah Lot at sunset

Tour Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival Jakarta
Arrival at Jakarta International Airport then transfer to Hotel.
Overnight at Santika Premiere Hayam Wuruk or similar 

Day 2: Jakarta - Bandung (B,L)
Drive to Botanical Garden in Bogor. Continue driven through a manicured landscape of vast tea plantation in Puncak – Pass and terraced rice fields in Cianjur for overnight in Bandung.
Overnight at Kimaya Braga by Harris or similar 

Day 3: Bandung (B,L)
A full day tour to North of Bandung covering Tangkuban Perahu, a dormant volcano , vast of tea plantation, and visit to a natural hot spring in Ciater to relax after a travel weary limbs.

Day 4: Bandung - Purwokerto (B,L)
Soon after breakfast, drive through Java’s heartland with magnificent terraced rice fields, and lush countryside views. Visit distinguished Naga Village, a idyllic traditional settlement located on a river bank which still practise ancient customs.

Day 5: Purwokerto - Yogyakarta (B,L)
Leaving Purwokerto, drive through mountains region to Dieng plateau passing some beautiful countryside, rural villages, and terraced rice fields. Visit some oldest Hindu shrines dated 5th D and a colored lake. Drive further towards Yogyakarta .

Day 6: Yogyakarta  (B,L)
One of the highlights of the day is the mighty monumental Borobudur Buddhist temple, a UNESCO Sites dates back to 8th century. And Sultan Palace of Yogyakarta with many spiritual symbols, Taman Sri (ruins of Water Palace), the traditional workshops of Batik & Silver, and leather puppet shadow (Wayang kulit)
NOTE: Borobudur, Sultan Palace and Prambanan are closed on Mondays

DAY 7 : Yogyakarta - Malang (B,L)
Visit to Prambanan temple known as the most elegance Hindu shrines, also a UNESCO World Heritage Sites, traditional market in Solo, and driving through newly built Trans-Java highway to Malang in East Java.

Day 8: Malang - Bromo (B,L)
Malang City tour visit Chinese temple (Eng An Kiong), Bird market and beautiful town square (Alun Alun Malang) next transfer to Bromo via Probolinggo.

Day 9: Bromo - Kalibaru (B,L)
Early morning Bromo tour by 4X4 jeep to Penajakan view point, further down and walks across sea of sand to reach the crater rim. Horse riding is on own account. Back to hotel for breakfast and drive to Kalibaru passing picturesque countryside with rural villages and some tobacco dying houses .

Day 10: Kalibaru - Bali (B,L)
After breakfast, with local guide discovering some exotic plants in the plantation ground, walking amidst rice fields are meeting friendly locals will be part of your experience next drive to Ketapang harbour and board ferry crossing the shallow Bali strait. Proceed further to your hotel in Bali. Drop off and service end.

Day 12: Bali (B) - Mengwi Temple, Monkey Forest and Tanah Lot Tour Full-Day Excursion
After an early lunch journey into the countryside by coach and make a stop to take a short walk (approx. 300 metres) through Scenic Rice Paddies. Cultivated in unique Balinese style, surrounded by coconut trees and tropical horticultural plants including sweet potatoes and tapioca. This journey will be as a started and get a memorable experienced.
After leaving the village of Gulingan, you will drive along to the Royal Temple of Mengwi - Pura Taman Ayun. Dating from 1634, this picturesque complex surrounded by a moat with multi-roofed Meru shrines and intricately carved wooden gates.
You will then proceed to the sacred Monkey Forest, a cluster of towering trees which is home to hundreds of monkeys.
Last stop is Tanah Lot, famous in Bali as the Sunset Temple. Experience the sunset beyond the black lava towers of the sacred 16th century temple, built on a lava rock 200 metres off shore.
