From the electric energy of New York City to the historic charm of Boston and the rugged beauty of Atlantic Canada, this carefully crafted stay and cruise holiday blends iconic cities, scenic rail travel and a spectacular voyage aboard Norwegian Breakaway, all at one of the very best times of year to visit.
Day 1 – Fly to New York
Your journey begins with a direct flight from London Heathrow to New York City. On arrival, make your way to your hotel for a three-night stay at Park Central Hotel New York (or similar), ideally located in Midtown Manhattan.
The rest of the day is yours to settle in and start experiencing the city’s famous energy. Perhaps enjoy dinner nearby or take an evening walk to nearby Times Square to see the bright lights of the city that never sleeps.
Day 2 – Explore New York City
Today is free to explore one of the world’s most exciting cities.
Visit iconic sights such as the Statue of Liberty, stroll through Central Park, or head to the top of the Empire State Building for spectacular skyline views. You might also enjoy shopping along Fifth Avenue, visiting world-class museums or discovering neighbourhoods such as Greenwich Village and SoHo.
Optional guided excursions are available if you wish to discover the city with a local expert.
Day 3 – New York at Leisure
Enjoy another full day at leisure in New York City.
Walk the High Line for unique views across Manhattan, cross the Brooklyn Bridge for stunning skyline photographs, or take a harbour cruise for close-up views of the Statue of Liberty and the Manhattan skyline. In the evening, perhaps experience a Broadway show or dine in one of the city’s renowned restaurants.
Day 4 – Rail Journey to Boston
Today you travel north by rail to Boston. Sit back and relax as the train journey passes through the historic cities and coastal landscapes of the Northeastern United States.
On arrival, check in for a two-night stay at Hilton Boston Park Plaza (or similar), located close to Boston Common and within easy reach of many of the city’s historic landmarks.
Day 5 – Discover Boston
Spend the day exploring one of America’s most historic cities. Follow the famous Freedom Trail to discover key landmarks from the American Revolution, browse the lively markets at Quincy Market, or stroll along the scenic Boston Harbor.
Optional sightseeing tours are available, including city tours and harbour cruises.
Day 6 – Embark Your Cruise
Today you board Norwegian Breakaway in Boston to begin your unforgettable seven-night Canada and New England cruise.
After settling into your stateroom, take time to explore the ship’s impressive facilities before sailing. Enjoy a wide choice of restaurants, entertainment venues, bars, lounges, pools and spa facilities as you begin your voyage along the beautiful North Atlantic coast.
Days 7–12 – Canada & New England Cruise
Over the next seven nights, explore some of the most scenic and historic ports in the region. Exact itineraries vary slightly by departure, but highlights include charming New England towns and colourful Atlantic Canadian cities.

Portland, Maine – A classic New England harbour town known for its historic waterfront, lighthouses and famous lobster rolls.

Saint John – Home to the remarkable Bay of Fundy, famous for having the highest tides in the world.

Day 13 – Return to Boston & Fly Home
Your cruise returns to Boston this morning. After disembarkation, make your way to the airport for your return direct flight to London Heathrow, bringing your East Coast and Canada adventure to a memorable close.
