New York City

Walk a mere 20 minutes to the king of all icons, the Empire State Building, for a jaw-dropping Big Apple panorama. In the other direction, you can stroll a mile to the historic Rockefeller Center for the Top of the Rock observation deck and NBC Studio Tours, and the nearby Radio City Music Hall. Walk a couple more blocks for eye-opening art at MOMA.
