Day 1: Arrival in Calgary
Arrive at Calgary International Airport, collect your hire car and drive to your centrally located hotel. Spend the rest of the day discovering Calgary at your leisure. Known as the Stampede City, Calgary offers a great introduction to Western Canada.
Day 2 to 3: Banff National Park
Depart Calgary and head into the breathtaking Canadian Rockies. As you drive into Banff National Park, the mountain peaks grow more dramatic. Arrive in Banff and enjoy time exploring this lively alpine town. Spend the next day visiting local attractions such as the Luxton Museum, ride the gondola up Sulphur Mountain, or enjoy a scenic boat trip on Lake Minnewanka.
Day 4: Jasper via the Icefields Parkway
Take one of the most scenic drives in the world, the Icefields Parkway, with suggested stops at Lake Louise and Peyto Lake. Before arriving in Jasper, don’t miss the dramatic Maligne Canyon in Jasper National Park.
Day 5: Sun Peaks
Follow the Yellowhead Highway through historic trade routes and take in views of Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies. If time allows, visit Wells Gray Provincial Park. Continue to the year-round resort town of Sun Peaks.
Day 6 to 7: Vancouver via Fraser Canyon
