Day 1: Arrival in New York
Arrive in New York City, the city that never sleeps. Transfer independently to your hotel, where you will meet your Tour Director. The rest of the day is at leisure, soak up the atmosphere, grab a bite in a local diner, or enjoy your first taste of the Big Apple.
Day 2: New York City Sightseeing
This morning, enjoy a guided city tour of New York, showcasing many of Manhattan’s most famous sights. Take in the incredible skyline and feel the buzz of this world-class city as you explore its iconic avenues and landmarks.
The afternoon is free for independent exploration. Your Tour Director will be on hand with suggestions — perhaps a stroll through Central Park, a helicopter flight over Manhattan (optional), or simply people-watch in Times Square. Don’t forget your camera!
Day 3: New York City – Finger Lakes – Niagara Falls
Leave New York behind as you travel north through the picturesque Finger Lakes region, passing along the shores of Lake Seneca. Stop in Watkins Glen for a local wine tasting before continuing west towards Niagara Falls. Arrive later in the day and settle into your hotel near this romantic and awe-inspiring natural wonder.
Day 4: Niagara Falls – Pennsylvania Dutch Country
This morning, enjoy time to explore Niagara Falls from the Canadian side. You may choose to take the optional Hornblower Cruise for an up-close view of the thundering waters, enjoy lunch overlooking the falls, or stroll along Table Rock for panoramic views of the Horseshoe Falls.
Later, depart Niagara and travel into the charming Pennsylvania Dutch Country, known for its rolling farmland and traditional way of life.
Please note: This tour crosses the U.S./Canada border. Relevant visas must be obtained prior to travel, where required.
Day 5: Pennsylvania Dutch Country – Gettysburg – Washington D.C.
Travel today through the Appalachian Mountains, following the scenic Susquehanna River. Visit the historic Gettysburg Civil War National Battleground, where the largest battle ever fought on American soil took place and where President Abraham Lincoln delivered his famous Gettysburg Address in 1863.
Continue to Washington D.C., the capital of the United States.
Day 6: Washington D.C.
Enjoy a guided tour of Washington D.C.’s most iconic landmarks, including the White House, Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, and Arlington National Cemetery, home to the JFK Memorial.
The remainder of the day is free to explore the Smithsonian museums, wander along the Potomac River, or enjoy the city at your own pace.
Day 7: Washington D.C. - Philadelphia
Continue north to Philadelphia, the 'City of Brotherly Love' and the birthplace of the nation. On a comprehensive city tour, see Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776, and the iconic Liberty Bell. A fascinating insight into America’s early history.
Day 8: Philadelphia – New York City – Departure
This morning, return to New York City.
